A high-performing educational system is one with leaders who have the skills to create workplace environments in which people perform so as to create organizational excellence. Their performance must be consistent, reliable, effective, and efficient, and it must result in high quality learning environments with the most effective use of resources. If you are a leader, think about how your actions serve as a model for those you lead. Before we can expect our teams to perform at high levels, we choose to show “what right looks like.” Our behaviors and actions show others how to be held accountable for clearly defined outcomes and measures, and we want to work collectively with our teams to achieve these outcomes. We become the premier role models for applying the behaviors we expect of them.
