Studer Education was founded by Quint Studer and Janet Pilcher as the newest division of Studer Group. Studer Group was already serving over 1000 healthcare partners to improve culture and transform clinical and operational outcomes. Many of these healthcare partners became Malcolm Baldrige National Award winners. As former educators, Quint and Janet saw great potential for making an impact in education systems using the same principles and practices.
FIRST K12 PARTNERS
JANESVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT (WI) – Our pilot partner was home to Quint Studer and the place where he first entered his career as a Special Education teacher.
SANTA ROSA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT (FL) – Consistently a recognized high-performing school district, SRCSD also faced different challenges from various stakeholders.
FIRST HIGHER ED PARTNER
UNIVERSITY OF WEST GEORGIA – UWG was the first higher education institution to begin the journey to continuous improvement with Studer Education. The UWG leadership team was highly committed to becoming a “best place to work” university.
They adopted the Evidence-based Leadership framework and began by developing a scorecard to align all departments to the strategic plan. The institution has since been named among the “20 Most Promising Places to work in Students Affairs” by Diverse: Issues in Education. UWG was also recognized among the nation’s top colleges by U.S. News & World Report, based on excellence factors such as first-year student retention, graduation rates, and faculty strength.
CONTINUING TO EXPAND OUR IMPACT
We now work with over 80 partners in 27 states, helping them make a lasting difference for their organizations and the people they serve. Our roots are in education, but our work has expanded into other organizations who serve public interest and are constantly seeking improvement.
