MEDIA RELEASE – “We’re proud to have been named to the College Board’s 7th Annual AP District Honor Roll for our efforts to expand access to AP coursework and improve student performance on AP exams,” Principal Brian Nelsen reported.

Ashwaubenon was one of 23 districts in Wisconsin to receive the honor from the College Board.  The AP District Honor Roll recognizes districts in the US and Canada who continue to improve access to AP coursework for students with a high degree of readiness.

The College Board supports systems of continuous improvement and encourages strength in differentiated instruction. According the AP Central arm of the College Board, criteria to qualify for the award include:

  • Increase participation/access to AP by at least 4 – 11 percent, depending on the size of the district;
  • Increase or maintain the percentage of minority students taking exams and scoring 3+ on at least one AP Exam; and
  • Improve performance levels in 2016 over those in 2014, until the district has reach at least 70 percent of its AP students scoring a 3 or higher.

Congratulations, Ashwaubenon High School!
