Keynote Speaker Bob Hughes

Dr. Hughes is the director of K-12 Education for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation where he oversees the work to ensure student preparation for college and career success. He also serves on the board of the Carnegie Foundations for the Advancement of Teaching.

As a long-time advocate for education reform, he emphasizes the need to give leaders the capability to establish teams and empower classroom leaders to attend to students’ needs, intervene early in response to warning signs, and accelerate progress when they recognize it.
