Kathy was born and raised in the Finger Lakes region of upstate NY and has been living in Florida since 1991 where she began her profession in education. She advanced her teaching and research career in Florida as an Adjunct Professor at Florida State University, as an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida and served in statewide leadership roles for the Florida Department of Education at the USF and UCF. While at UCF, she designed and developed Florida’s statewide Coaching Model and professional learning materials, as well as managed Conferences and Academies under the federal initiative No Child Left Behind, developing educators throughout that the K-postsecondary educational system. While at the university level, she also served on doctoral committees, national accreditation, and committees that designed state endorsements, developed standards, wrote, reviewed and evaluated grants and programs statewide.

In 2000, Kathy founded one of the first of its kind, national educational youth outreach programs for the National Football League’s sanctioned Super Bowl Host Committee programs, which reached thousands of teachers and youth across the nation from 2000-2012. More recently, she served as CEO and Senior Consultant for Edusoar Learning Corp, providing guidance over product development, customized solutions for turnaround schools, and designed curriculum. At Edusoar, she also served as a job-embedded coach, working beside school and district administrators, as well as delivered professional learning on a variety of relevant educational topics, including brain-based learning, rigor, academic standards understanding, evidence-based learning, and leadership development in both large and small school districts.
