Hobbs Municipal Schools

Hobbs Municipal Schools (HMS), located in Southeast New Mexico, strives to provide an educational program that gives each student the greatest opportunity to develop as an individual and as a contributing member of the community and our democratic society. HMS currently has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students who attend one of 13 elementary schools or five secondary schools.

HMS is committed to continuous improvement as they work to motivate and help each student develop: (i) a wholesome attitude toward our democratic government and toward family life, and an appreciation of the achievements of others; (ii) respect for the rules and regulations of society; (iii) the moral, and aesthetic values to lead a full and rewarding life; (iv) an understanding of the workday world and the possibilities and responsibilities within it; (v) general knowledge and basic skills essential to function in a democratic society; (vi) emotional stability, social adjustment and physical health, and (vii) creative, analytical thinking enabling the student to solve problems arising in our changing world.

 

El Dorado County Office of Education

El Doradao County Office of Education (EDCOE) in Placerville, CA supports the diverse educational needs of El Dorado County’s student population, not only in schools but throughout the community. EDCOE’s leadership provides students with progressive and engaging learning experiences, while facilitating collaboration that maximizes resources for school districts and the county alike. Their goal is to deliver educational excellence through responsible, cost-effective centralized services in order to meet regulatory and educational standards in a safe, successful, educational environment for all.

For children, county operated programs include child development for young children 0-5 years of age, which promote the well-being of the whole child to prepare them for school. For school age children, there are a variety of alternative programs for student enrichment and for students with special needs. In addition to the school day, services include extended day childcare providing high quality educational activities. EDCOE builds bridges with Charter SELPA partners to provide individualized special education services.

In support of educators, EDCOE provides innovative professional development and curriculum, instruction and accountability services. Operational support to education and the community includes district fiscal oversight, business and personnel services. Infrastructure partnerships include information technology, facilities, maintenance and operations, developer fee collections, print shop services and emergency preparedness.

 

Coker University

The university’s main campus is located in Hartsville, South Carolina. Coker combines roundtable, discussion-based learning with hands-on experiences to encourage active participation in and out of the classroom. Founded in 1908, Coker is a bachelor’s and master’s degree-granting institution and competes in 21 NCAA Division II sports.
